Having grown up landlocked I cannot believe my luck to be living right by the ocean. One of the highlights of my year is a week long paddling trip in British Columbia’s wild places. Over the last few years, I have taken trips in Haida Gwaii, the Broken Group, Clayoqout Sound, Nootka Sound, the Broughton Archipelago, Desolation Sound, and the Gulf Islands.
I also love spending time in the mountains hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing, and going for walks in the woods with my family. Other things to occupy my time are woodworking, knitting, playing the piano, cooking, gardening, and reading fiction.
